STEM Savvy: Girls Science is a fun filled morning of hands-on activities designed to develop middle school girls’ interest and self-confidence in STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering and Math) disciplines. We had a great time this year. We always have an exciting program of hands-on STEM activities. Girls visit different booths and participate in activities led by women working in fields as diverse as paleontology, biology, chemistry, aerospace and more. Women presenters from many great institutions such as CalTech, Carnegie Observatories, City of Hope, HMRI and Pasadena City College.  The morning activities include outdoor booth for short hands-on activities and at least one classroom workshop for a longer in depth project.
